Pungo Shake (Dessert Drink)

1 scoop of vanilla ice cream
1 scoop of chocolate ice cream
10 medium Pungo strawberries, cut in halves
1/2 cup cold milk
Throw all in blender, mix on 'stir' setting for 8-10 seconds. Serve immediately. Sweeten to taste with more ice cream. Makes single serving or two small servings.

Strawberry Pizza

Roll of Sugar Cookie Dough
2 cups of Pungo strawberries, sliced
Banana slices
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 tbls. sugar
1 tbls. strawberry gelatin
Chocolate syrup for drizzling
Spread sugar cookie dough on small pizza pan. Bake as directed on cookie dough package. Let crust cool. While crust is cooling, mix cream cheese, sugar and gelatin together. Spread cream mix evenly over cool crust. Arrange strawberries and bananas on top.

Drizzle chocolate decoratively.

Strawberry Shortcake Suggestions

  • Use recipe on biscuit mix box; double the sugar for extra sweetness
  • Best served with real whipping cream
  • Also delicious using sliced pound cake
  • For lighter fare, use angel food cake and light whipped topping

  • Clean gently, very light wash only, then cap berries
  • If freezing whole, freeze on flat pan, then seal in bags
